14U Warriors go back to back to back to start the season!

By Tom Bilek, 12/20/18, 5:30PM PST

It has been quite the start to the season for the 14U Temecula Warriors. After winning the Give Blood Tournament to start the season and taking the TORHS 2 Hot For Ice Event in November the team continued their winning ways going undefeated in the AAU Winternationals this past weekend in Corona taking the final 6-1 over the Renegades from Orange County.  Kenny Silhan and Nicholas Mardani led the way with 2 goals each, Dillon Bilek and Bryce Olson each added a goal. Congratulations to Dillon Bilek and Trevor Fife who won the tournaments top scorer and top goaltender award.

In the 12U division the Warriors compiled at 4-0 record and were the only undefeated team in pool play of 9 teams. The Warriors won their semifinal game paced by 2 goals from Kevin Betsch. The team dropped the final to a tough California Kings team settling for the Silver Medal. Substitute Goalie Kat Reyes won the top goalie award.

The 10U Warriors got off to a rough start losing their initial pool play game but rallied to tie their final 2 pool play games before winning their semifinal matchup over the Corona Bulldogs Grey. Unfortunately the team dropped the final to HB Militia and took home the silver medal.

Next up for the 14U & 12U teams are the Narch Winternationals in Huntington Beach, January 18-20. All four age divisions will play January 26-27 at the first WIHL event in Irvine. Go Warriors!
